Wednesday

We had intended to go horseback riding today, but the weather forecast scared us off, so we went to plan B. We drove to Amiacolola Falls, the highest waterfall in Georgia at over 700 feet. Paul and I were just here in May, so we knew what to expect- and we didn't want to climb the 604 steps! So we dropped off Paul, Zack and Anna at the bottom to begin the long climb to the top. While they were climbing, we took Sam, Ben and Ellie to the playground.

Hard to believe he was scared to death of slides only a few weeks ago! Now he can't get enough of them!

Beautiful flowers in the park. There was a little museum in the office that the kids enjoying looking at. Lots of bear, racoons and other assorted animals. And a whole bunch of LIVE snakes. Yuck

Ben liked the bears!
After we picked up the big kids, we drove up to the lodge on the top of the mountain. It is absolutely beautiful up there. Zack and Ellie decided to play a game of checkers.

Ben decided to hug the large stuffed bear.
The view from the patio. It was gorgeous.
Ben was not cooperating for a nice picture with his dad.
My 6 children.
All smiling at once!!

They love each other!! LOL
Ben got real silly after we took those pictures. Poor Sam wasn't feeling well.
What a silly boy!
The little boys.
Silly Ben.
Pretty Anna.
Anna and Ellie, looking beautiful.
The big boys.
The smiling big boys!
The parents.
After the Falls, we drove to Helen. Paul, Zack, Anna and Ellie went tubing down the Chatahoochee River while Paul, Ben, Sam and I ate lunch and walked around. Paul treated us to some special treats while we were here and both Sam and Ben really enjoyed sharing them with us.

Yum- funnel cake!
After Helen, we drove back "home" and Paul, Anna, Ellie and I went for a dip in the pool. It was so nice and relaxing. The pool here is a salt water pool, which means no chlorine, which is really nice.
We're tired tonight and some of us are not feeling well. Sam has not been feeling well since we arrived and tonight Anna was very warm and not feeling well. Maybe a good night's sleep and alot of prayer will change that for tomorrow.
