Final Mountain Get A Way

We got a chuckle out of this sign because they were serving "Schnitzel".  To us, Schnitzel is our dog.
 The streets of Helen.
My 5 children still at home.  Silly Sam.  Not sure why Ben wasn't smiling.

The river where the kids tube in the summer.
We were eating lunch.  Silly face.
Mmmmm.  He was so excited that he was able to order ribs.
 Mmmmm.
 Dad's lunch.
 He ate every bite.
Some pretty black bunnies we saw on the walk back to the car.
We had a nice time getting away and visiting many of the places that we had been to before.  The north Georgia mountains are beautiful, and this quick trip was very relaxing.

Mountain Get A Way Part 4

This is at a mill near Helen.  We've been coming here for years and big reason why is the fish in this water.  They have pellets you feed the fish and the fish are enormous.  But this year the fish were way upstream and we couldn't see them well.

 Beautiful colors.

 Silly girl.
 Much better.

Next was Anna Ruby Falls.  We've been here several times before.  When I saw this sign I was relieved.  A short walk.
What the sign didn't say was that the walk was straight. up. hill.  Literally.
But it was a beautiful walk.

Our family in front of the falls.

 Tired out.
She was posing for the camera.

Love, love, love this picture of Ben.

Next and last stop:  Helen, Georgia

Mountain Get A Way Part 3

Monday morning was cool and wet.  Thankfully it wasn't raining but it was damp and overcast.
 However,it was still beautiful.
 The fog over Tallulah Gorge.

The Great Wallenda strung cable and tightroped over Tallulah Gorge years ago.

An orchard/Pumpkin patch we stopped at.  Great apples.

Two geese taking a walk in between the apple trees.
 Showing her baby apple.
On to Helen and Anna Ruby Falls.
