Friday

Friday morning started bright and early. Sam woke us up at 5, screaming because he felt like throwing up. He did throw up, but just a bit. However, he was burning up. He felt better after some medicine, but he stayed home most of the day with Paul, who is also sick. Anna is feeling much better today.

Ellie and Paul, Sr. went horseback riding this morning. Anna, Ben and I drove them there. It was a cute little barn, with 35 horses, goats, chickens, roosters and other assorted animals. Anna found this cute kitten right away. And this cute kitten knew I was coming. Soon after we arrived, it came around the corner with this in it's mouth. Ugh.
Paul got a kick out this goat way up on the hay bales.
Another shot of the kitten and it's victim. It wouldn't have been so bad if it had just taken it away and ate it. But no, it carried it around and played with it. I was afraid it would get away and run towards me , or that the kitten would carry it near me. Both of those happened and I struggled with self control, but I survived and I didn't even scream. That kitten finally sat down and ate that entire mouse. Nice.
Waiting for the ride to begin.
Looking at the horses.
Ellie loved it and one of the ladies on the ride told me she was a natural. I asked her if she wanted to do it again and she very enthusiastically said yes.

Her dream come true!
After we got home from horseback riding, we hit the pool. It was such a beautiful day and it is such a nice pool that we really enjoyed it.

Sam was feeling a lot better and decided to come.

Ben loved the shallow end. He could stand up in it and play.
A baby snapping turtle Anna found down at the lake.
Dad and Ben playing in the shallow end.

One of the beautiful lakes.

After we got done at the pool, Paul took Anna, Ellie and Sam fishing and Anna caught this fish.

Sam had a good time, even though he didn't catch anything.

It was another good day. Sam and Paul are still sick, but I'm hoping Sam is on the mend. Tomorrow is another day for fishing and swimming and maybe some other fun stuff. Can't believe this vacation is almost over! Have a good night.

...and that is why you should get a cat when you are able. Teddy chased a squirrel this morning and somehow ended up on the sunroom roof. We had to rescue him. We wouldn't have known he was up there if Tiger hadn't of kept looking up at the roof and crying.

Love,
Sherry
