Monday

Today was a weird sort of day around here. Sam and Ben both have bad colds and are very congested. Sam was just plain miserable today and spent most of the day laying on the couch. Because he was sick, he enjoyed watching some videos on the computer, a rare treat for him. However, he was still miserable all day long. Benjamin is very congested and just not himself. He wanted to be held more than ususal. He is fascinated with Trigger and smiles and talks to him whenever he sees him. Paul took him out this morning and let him pet him. Trigger's not so sure about Ben. :)
Paul and Anna went hunting this afternoon. It was the first rifle hunt of the season, so there was great excitement and anticipation. However, they never even saw a deer. But they were excited! We took a picture of their redneck "dryer"- their orange vests did not have a chance to dry so they hung them off the mirrors on the truck.

Don't I have a handsome husband?

Anna's getting very tall and in these pictures I think she looks alot like her dad.

Women of Faith

These past two days I attended the Women of Faith conference in Atlanta with 5 other ladies from our church. It was great. Actually, it was more than great. It started Friday with what they call the "pre conference" with Patsy Clairmont, Jan Silvious and Anita Renfroe. We laughed till we cried at these ladies, and then listened intently as they spoke about living our lives as women pleasing to the Lord.

Then Friday evening, the real conference began. We were treated this year to Max Lucado as he opened the meeting with a beautiful prayer and a great message on John 3:16. Then speaker after speaker got up and just outdid each other with relevant, practical messages on the theme of the conference, "Infinite Grace". We also heard a concert by Nicole C. Mullen, who brought the house down with her song "Redeemer". Sandy Patti was there also and sang many songs, and gave her testimony.

We had a blast. The weekend just flew by. One of the comments we made as we walked out was that there was not a dull moment the entire time. Those speakers and singers had our utmost attention the whole 48 hours we were there, and truth be told, I could have stayed and listened for another 48 hours!

I love the women of faith conferences. They put value on women just getting away to laugh and cry and hear the Word of God. I can't wait till next year!

It was an absolutely beautiful Fall day today. It was cool all day with spectacular blue skies and bright sunshine. One of the girls from our church had her birthday party at the park this afternoon. The kids loved being outside and running around in the cool breeze. Benjamin enjoyed the baby swing, as you can see.

Another Conversation with Sam

The other day, Anna brought Sam into me after he had woken up from his nap. I was laying down on my bed and he snuggled in right next to me. Anna told me that he didn't want to lay with her because she didn't smell right, he wanted to lay with Mama. I asked him if I smelled right. He nodded yes.
Knowing I was opening myself up for anything, I asked him, "Sam, what do I smell like?"
"Cherries" he said.
Alrighty then. I guess it could be worse!!

Benjamin at 7 Months

Benjamin turned 7 months old today. I can hardly believe it- this last month just flew by. As you can tell, he has learned to enjoy getting his picture taken. As soon as I hold the camera up, he makes this scrunched up face. He now crawls everywhere and loves being mobile and getting into stuff.
He can wave "bye-bye", but doesn't always do it when we ask him to.
He loves Trigger and laughs whenever he gets close to him, but he laughs most at his siblings.
He usually enjoys baby food and loves his bottle. He's learning to use a sippy cup and LOVES popsicles. If you have one, watch out! He will attack!
He's still very good natured and enjoyable!

Sam's Favorite Place to Sleep

My Favorite Time of Day

Why, Naptime, of course! And better still, when both little boys take their naps at the same time. Sweet, sweet silence.

Cute, cute Benjamin
