Day 2- Rocky Mountain National Park

Well, we're headed off to the Rockies! We slept great last night. Colorado sun is hot, hot, hot- it will bake you we found out. But the nights are beautiful and the temperature dropped, so sleeping was wonderful. Benjamin is doing great, enjoying being outside. Sam has had a blast playing in the dirt and rocks. Paul Jr. is very excited about seeing the mountains and Zack is praying he doesn't get carsick as we drive around in them today. The girls are enjoying being outside and riding bikes and exploring.

Colorado is beautiful, but so different from what we are used to. The "grass" is brown, dry and brittle and we soon found out that it is painful to wear flip-flops here. Sam also found out that it is painful to walk on the pavement with bare feet! We've seen some wildlife- mule deer and antelope, which is very exciting to some of us!

I'll try to upload some pictures this evening when we get back. There is wireless internet in this campground, but sometimes it's very slow.

So glad all is well. I remember that kind of (grass) in North Dakota. I took only one run to the out house in my bare feet there. Do know I miss you and so do those two doggies they get all excited when we even drive by. We are watering them and petting and giving them doggie treats two times a day and since it was 101 yesterday and will hit 100 today we are watering your plants once a day too. Electric storm last night and Paul a deer crossed the road in front of us right between your house and the one next door.
