Bear and Deer

The boys are at it again. They left today for the mountains, to hunt deer and bear. They were all so excited, and we pray and hope they take something! A bunch of men and boys from our church went, so I think they were just as excited about the fellowship as the hunt.

It has turned chilly here again- hopefully it will stay chilly a little longer this time! It was in the 40's this morning- nice Fall weather!

Cute cartoon. We saw our first black bear a couple weeks ago on vacation in the Smokies.

Sam will have a baby brother huh! That is very exciting news, he will love having a partner in crime. Thanks for stopping by my blog, you don't have to use raw milk for the whey, just use yogurt. Put the yogurt in some cloth, (we use an old pillowcase) we pour the yogurt in the pillowcase and tie it up in the kitchen dangling over a bowl. The whey separates from the yogurt. You only need 4 Tbsp. of Whey for the recipe. If you don't want to do the pillowcase, put some in a wire mesh strainer with a cloth in it, let enough whey drip out to use and put the rest in the fridge to eat.

I hope this helps, Bettendorf has great instructions, she has a big jar of whey though, I'm curious how she got that, I'll have to ask.

Stop in anytime, it was nice to hear from you again.
