A Christmas to Remember

We received the expected news early in the season: no Christmas bonus this year.  Things have been very tight at the church and there was no money for Paul's bonus.  We knew it was coming, so we were really not surprised.  We use this bonus to fund our Christmas, so we realized that this would be a very different Christmas.

Paul told me we had about $100 to use for Christmas.  With a family our size, that would not go far.  But it was ok.  We have everything we need.  And, in the back of my mind and in my heart, I knew things would be taken care of.  I was kind of anxious to see how God was going to take care of us, because one way or another, I knew He wouldn't let us down.

5 nights ago we had a group of people come to our home and deliver Christmas.  They loaded our tree with gifts and handed Paul and I a couple of giftcards to Walmart.  In the  past few weeks, we have received sizeable checks in the mail, some of which were from people we do not know.  Yesterday, we received an enourmous check from a church down the road who just wanted to bless us.

God came through.  Again.  He used several people to bless my family tremendously this Christmas.  This is a Christmas we will never forget.

I am so happy for ya'll Elizabeth! God had done the same for us, once again! The blessings came from places I certainly didn't expect and it was wonderful to be able to share His provision with my children because I wanted to be sure that what they were blessed with was only provided via God's blessing us through others.
