A New Quilt

A special little girl in our church had her first birthday back in February. I wanted to make her a quilt because I was unable to make her one when she was born. My sewing machine was in the shop and then the family got sick for a while, and before I knew it, it was May. But I determined to finish this quilt this week, and I finally did. This is the back of the quilt. It is the first time I have pieced a back together and I think I like it.

You will notice I used all bright colors. Thankfully, I heard that this little girl's mom does not like pink at all, so I did not use pink, except in one of the blocks. I like the way it turned out. Both of my older daughters told me they would like a quilt like this, only bigger, for their beds.

Happy Birthday Noelle! I hope you enjoy the quilt.
