Our dog Schnitzel fathered a liter of puppies with a chihuahua. Anna went and saw these puppies and agreed to take one and find it a home. She wasn't supposed to get it for a few more weeks, but the mama dog died unexpectedly and Anna got the puppy 2 days ago.
She is only 4 weeks old and until 2 days ago had been nursing. So we went to the pet store and bought "weaning" milk and puppy chow and the girls have been faithfully feeding her every 4 hours around the clock.
I think she is the cutest puppy I've ever seen. She has all the marking of Schnitzel, a dachshund, but is more rounded that he is. All of us have enjoyed holding and watching this puppy.
A friend of ours has agreed to take the puppy and give it a good home. She's going to name it Molly, which I think is a very cute name for a very cute puppy. Anna and Ellie, though disappointed to have the puppy leave, are very relieved that she has found a good home that will take great care of her.
