I guess Jackson needed some alone time in the van. This is how he traveled, and eventually fell asleep. Too funny.
Lunch!
It was rainy in Vermont, but even through the raindrops, it was still beautiful.
This picture does not do this rainbow justice. It was so vibrant and big!
We arrived in time for supper with our friends Brian and Dianna. I have known Dianna as far back as I can remember. Our families were friends when our dads both pastored in upstate New York, and we saw each other fairly often. We stayed in touch through the years even after both our families moved away. Dianna and I attended the same college, where she met Brian and I met Paul, and we all became friends. She and Brian have 10 kids and we have always wanted to get our families together, and it finally happened. We enjoyed having supper with their family and some friends from their church. We looked forward to attending church with them the next day and spending Sunday at their house.
Paul did a great job speaking.
Dianna and I in front of a stream in back of their house.
It was a special treat to see Dianna's mom, Mrs. Worsham. I had not seen her in so many years!
Our kids got along great. These boys played video games and rode bikes and played all day long. Jackson fell in love with their foster daughter whom he called "Leesie". It was so cute. He didn't leave her side all day long.
Later in the afternoon, Dianna, Brian, Paul and I were able to go out to dinner together. First, they drove us to this beautiful view.
After dinner, they drove us by this graveyard and this amazing tombstone.
More beautiful views of Vermont and the Green Mountains.
It was a wonderful weekend which everyone of us enjoyed.
