The Harmonica

Paul was playing with Emma last night and got out his harmonica to play it for Emma. As you can see by the look on her face, she wasn't sure if she liked it or not.
And then she decided. She did NOT like it.So Paul put it away and had her smiling in a matter of seconds. And then she got to laughing.
What a cutie pie!

Daddy and Emma

Emma still has a bunch of hair and it is growing, fast. She has not lost any! On this day she was having a particularly interesting hair day.
Daddy loves his baby!
Skinny Daddy, I should say.
He looks and feels great! No special foods, no exercising (yet), no counting calories, no low fat or low carb. It's amazing.

Anna Elizabeth

I found these pictures of Anna on the camera. She will probably be upset with me for posting these, but oh well! If you take pictures and leave them on the camera, they become my property. She is growing up and growing tall.

Hunting with Daddy

Last week was Benjamin's first time to go hunting with Daddy and was he excited! He even had his own "hunting" pants. They didn't get a deer or even see a deer, but Ben still had a great time.

Sam and I were having a deep discussion this morning. It seems we always have these kinds of discussions while we are driving. We had talked about sin a few weeks ago, and a few moments after we left our house today, he started in as if no time had passed.

"So mom, if I become a sinner then I can become a Christian?"

Hmmmm. "Well, Sam, you are already a sinner. You need to admit that you do things that don't please God and realize you need a Savior."

"Mom, are you a sinner?"

"Yes, Sam. I am."

"Oh. Mom, is Emma a sinner?"

"Yes, she is. "

"But Mom. Emma is a baby. She doesn't do anything."

"I know Sam, but she was born a sinner. When she came into this world, she was a sinner."

"Is Grandma a sinner?"

"Yes, Sam, even Grandma is a sinner."

Sam gasped out loud. "BUT MOM! GRANDMA IS SO GOOD!"

"I know Sam, but she is still a sinner."

Sam sighed loudly. "Mom. This is such a sin world." he said sadly.

Oh Sam. If you only knew how true your words are.

Emma and her blue eyes
She actually laughed out loud for the first time right here. I was making silly sounds and she laughed about 4 times, and then that was it. Not even a smile!
So cute!

Happy Birthday to Me!

No, it's not my birthday, but if you'll remember, my birthday was the day before Emma was born. Paul asked me if I wanted a party, but there was too much to do so I said no. I guess he thought since I didn't want a party I didn't want a present either. Oh, was he wrong! I know things were crazy for a while, but when he didn't get me anything, I emailed him what I wanted. With a link. So he'd get the right one.

It took him a while, but he and Paul bought me a new lens for my camera. I'm excited to see what this new lens will do. Today, I just snapped a few pictures of two of my favorite subjects. Emma's sweet baby hand. All my girls have done this with their thumbs.
Sweet little profile.
Can you say bedhead??
Aw, come on now. Isn't she the sweetest thing you've ever seen??
The blue eyed wonder.
Something was funny. (Have you ever tried to photograph a 3 month old baby while the baby was sitting between your feet and you are trying to make her smile while holding the camera and trying to not let her fall over? Someone should have been taking a video of me!!)
A contemplative pose. He was probably thinking of what he would be eating next.
There's a smile!~

What a cutie! A dirty cutie, but a cutie still the same.
