Around my house this week...

Look who is mobile and getting into everything. We bought him a walker, and he LOVES the freedom.
He figured out he could get into this drawer and get the stuff out! Guess which drawer is now empty, except for baby toys?"Yes, Mom. I am cute and I can do whatever I want""Who me? You're telling me no??"
Sam stepped on a yellow jacket and was in alot of pain for a while.
The only thing that seemed to calm him down was to sit with his foot in a bucket of cold water, which he kind of enjoyed. (Especially because it was nap time!)School timeCutie Pie
When I give Ben a bath, I have to make sure to have 2 washcloths. 1 to wash him with and 1 for him to suck on. And don't even think about taking his away!

Guess who had to try it and see if it was any fun???
His head has turned a lovely shade of green and yellow.
My boys!
You looking at me?? Don't touch my washcloth!

A Thought Provoking Read

Go check out my cousin Gretchen's blog here. She has an interesting perspective on Michelle Obama's speech last night at the Democratic Convention, a perspective you probably won't hear anywhere else. And, I agree with her. :)

Sam's Head

Sam fell after church on Sunday onto the concrete floor and got one of the largest bumps I've ever seen. It was pretty scary looking at first, but after a few hours, it went down. Today, it's started to turn black. It's hard to see in these pictures, but it's definitely a goose egg! Thank God little children are so resilient, and like Paul always says, made of rubber!
(The largest goose egg I've ever seen belongs to Anna. She fell off the back of the couch onto ceramic tile when she was about 3. The doctor was amazed that she wasn't knocked unconscious, and it took weeks for her head to turn back to it's normal color.)

Benjamin at 6 months

Benjamin is alot of fun at this age. He loves to be talked to and played with and is always ready with a smile. Here are some pictures of him and what he is up to these days.
He's almost sitting up. He sits, propped up with one hand, any chance he gets.
He is also teething! Look at that drool!
Cute little head!

This is how he greets us when we go into his room to get him up. He's always glad to see us.
As soon as he hears the door open, he props up on his hands and looks around to find who is coming to get him.
Showing off how he is learning to sit up.

More sitting up.
He LOVES Sam. Ben always has a smile and usually a laugh when he sees Sam.
As you can tell, he enjoys eating. Here he was trying carrots for the first time.

The girls and I dressed him up and took him outside for his 6 month pictures. He looks like a little man.

He's a great baby and has been a wonderful addition to our family!
