Dauset Trails

A few Saturdays ago, Anna and I took the children to Dauset Trails, a sort of outside zoo on a walking path.  It was such a beautiful, warm day that we wanted to do something special outside.  Sam, Ben and Emma were so excited!
 Looking at the owl.

She LOVED all the animals, except one.

 Ben loved feeding the goats.

 Chasing the chickens.
 Her reaction to the pigs.
She was so scared of the one big pig that was laying in the mud.  Her reaction was so funny!  Of all the animals to be afraid of- pigs!
Ben's reaction when the pig stood up and shook the mud all over Sam!
 Ben taking my picture.
 Awww.

It was a great day.

Silly Boys

 Sam and Ben got buzzed.
Sam specifically asked Dad to buzz him because he was getting tired of me "fixing" his hair when we went anywhere.  That boy has alot of hair!
So now, he doesn't have to suffer through me wetting it down and then combing it and then spraying it.
As soon as he gets out of bed, he's good to go.
And what little boy doesn't enjoy that??

Sunday Morning March 11

Benjamin looked so handsome before church so I had to snap a few pictures of him.
 Dad and Ben
Paul and I will be married 25 years in a few months.  How did that happen?
Simon wanted in on the picture taking.
Daddy and his boy.  Well, one of his boys.

Benjamin's Quilt

Ben has been asking me to make him a quilt ever since Sam got his last April.  Ben specifically wanted a "Hulk" quilt.  I could not find Hulk fabric anywhere and I looked everywhere I could.
I wanted to have his quilt ready for his birthday, so I went back to JoAnn's one last time to see what I could find.  I found the Hulk on one fabric, so I got it along with other fabrics that I knew he would enjoy and started on his quilt. (See the green Hulk in the picture below?)
It came out cute.  Not quite what I envisioned in my head, but I was happy with it.
I found a really cute flannel backing with different cute monsters on it.
 It even had Buzz Lightyear!
His reaction to it at his party made the late hours I spent working on it worth it.
I hope he has many years of enjoyment using it.  Next project?  A cute baby boy quilt and then a Dora/Elmo quilt for Emma.  And Ellie hinted that I haven't made her a quilt since she was a newborn.  Hmmmm.  Maybe for her birthday next year- I don't think I can pull it off in time for this years birthday.  Or can I????
