Random Pics

Paul is starting him early with the fishing pole, boots and hat. The Look.
Close-up of the look.
Out like a light. Yes, that is a pink hippo and yes, his blanket has rosebuds on it. What can I say- he's number 6 and gets stuck with alot of hand me downs.
And yes, he still sucks his thumb.

Sam

Sam has been asking alot of questions about Jesus. Sometimes it's hard to know exactly what to tell his 4 year old mind. He is a thinker and analyzes whatever he hears and I don't want to scare him or give him the wrong idea.

Just now, he asked me, "Mom, do you believe in Jesus?"

"Yes, Sam, I believe in Jesus."

"Oh. Does that mean you get to say here?"

"No. It means I'll go to heaven when I die and it also means that Jesus took away all the sin out of my heart." I replied.
"MOM!" YOU HAVE SIN??" He was amazed.

I was amazed that he was amazed. He lives with me for goodness sakes!! He KNOWS I have sin!

"Mom" he said. "When I get big I will NEVER disobey you."
What a kid!

Choosing Thomas

I tried to get this video to embed in my blog post, but couldn't. This is a link to an amazing, heart wrenching video of a mom and dad and a baby who was born with Trisomy 13 and their decision to let him live as long as God allowed. You'll want tissues.

Update

Went to the dentist at 8:20.

Almost had a panic attack in the waiting room.

Dentist agreed with me that tooth needed to be pulled.

He looked in my mouth and poked and prodded. I didn't realize he was numbing the area.

Never felt the shots.

Tooth was pulled quickly- I was surprised.

Next week, another appointment, another tooth pulled.

Sigh. Glad that's over with, at least for a week.

Ugh

Note to self: A toothache does not go away; it gets worse. So if your tooth hurts, do something about it. Quickly. While it's not that painful. You'll be glad you did.

Please pray for me tomorrow. I'm hoping to get into the dentist first thing. My tooth has been hurting me on and off for a while now, and it's to the point that I can't ignore it any more. It's screaming now.
I'm not looking forward to it. But, it's like childbirth. You do get to the point where you welcome the pain because of the result. My result? NO MORE TOOTHACHE. I hope.

Good Night, Sweet Ben

A good night drink.
A good night kiss.
A good night smile.
Good night, sweet boy.

Good night.
