Random Pics

Emma wearing a dress of Anna's. This particular dress I bought when I was pregnant with Zack before I found out it was a boy.

She was so tired, she fell asleep just like this.

Blue eyes!
Silly boy

Ben's "holdy face" kiss. He insists on holding your face like this when he gives you a kiss!

Skinny Paul

Paul's amazing weight loss! He's lost over 40 pounds in less than 5 months and he looks and feels great! Way to go Paul!

Sam

Sam started Kindergarten a few weeks ago. He's doing great and I was surprised by how much he already knew. We've started blending letters, in a very first attempt at reading. He does great, however, it hasn't "clicked" yet and so far, he's just putting letters together, not reading. That will come in time.

Yesterday, we were sitting at the table, going through his book, putting letters together.

"d...an....d...an...d...an....d...an" he said, over and over.

He looked up with a start and a twinkle in his eye.

"Doug!" he said enthusiatically!

Ellie, who was sitting across from us, couldn't contain her burst of sudden laughter. I was able to choke down my giggles so I wouldn't discourage him. It was so funny!

I love teaching Kindergarten!

Emma at Three Months

Guess who turned three months old a few days ago? Miss Emma Grace!
She is a wonderful baby. She hardly ever fusses (except for the picture below!) and is so content. She loves watching the action in this house.
She hasn't lost a bit of hair! She has been sleeping between 11 and 12 hours at night and taking 3-4 naps a day. She eats between 6 and 7 ounces at a time.
Cute, chubby baby feet!
She blesses us all, just by her presence. I can't imagine life without her.
What a face!

Ten Years

This week we marked our tenth anniversary of living in Georgia. We moved here in October of 2000, and this is what my children looked like. Paul was ten, Zack was seven, Anna was four and Ellie was still a baby at 18 months. Boy have they grown!
We've changed alot in ten years. God has grown our family and God has grown us! It's exciting to think of what will happen in the next ten years. (My goodness, Paul Jr. will be 30 in ten years- that doesn't seem possible!)

Fishing

Sam had the chance last week to go fishing with the "big men". Paul was taking Doctor Raiford (our Bible Conference speaker) to his friends farm to go fishing and invited Sam. Was he ever excited! And, he caught a fish!
Ken's farm is beautiful. He has lots of goats and cows.
Doc Raiford, his fish, and Sam.
Now you know Paul didn't just stand around and watch! I know he enjoyed the fishing as much as Sam!
Thankfully, they left the fish there!

It was a great day, according to Sam!

Elvis Hair

When Emma's hair gets especially wild, or stands up in the front, we say she has "Elvis Hair"! She has Elvis hair alot! Last week, I tried to fix her hair before we went to church because her hair was extremely wild. I brushed it (not with a baby brush, mind you, with my hair brush), I wet it down and I put a bow in it. It still didn't lay down and she went to church with wild hair!
It still gets very curly when it's wet. I don't know where she gets that from. None of my other children's hair does that. Zack's comes close, but isn't as wild as Emma's.
Wide eyed and wild hair. What a combination!
