Leaving....

Packing the car So excited!
Saying goodbye (Paul wasn't feeling well, so Grandma tried to protect herself!)
(same thing)
Amy and Ben
Bye Grandpa!
I think they will miss Ben and Sam the most!
One more kiss.
And they're off.
Goodbye.
We sure will miss you.

Grandma and Grandpa's Visit

My parents arrived yesterday morning for a quick visit. Their purpose in coming was to get Anna and Ellie and take them back to KS for a few weeks. They only stayed a day, but we did enjoy them. Sam and Grandma. I don't think he left her side all day long.
Grandma brought a box of toys for Sam and Ben. They loved it and they loved playing with her.

Of course, no visit is ever complete without a few games. And if Grandma is playing, there is no such thing as a quiet game!
Amy, my neice, came along for the ride so she could visit with us for the day. We loved having her!

Firstfruits from the Garden

What a wonderful feeling! Paul was so excited to harvest these firstfruits from our garden.
We ate the wax beans tonight and I must say they were delicious!
A friend of mine told me that they always gave away the firstfruits of their garden and Paul and I loved that idea. We gave these 2 squash and the 1 zucchini away to bless someone else as the Lord has blessed us.

Samuel

Samuel. What a wonderful blessing from the Lord.
Don't you love little boys and their faces?? And popsicle covered hands??
Someone once told me that a boy is noise with dirt all over it. I tend to agree.
Little boys are a joy.

Aunt Roxie

My aunt Roxie, my dad's younger sister, came to visit us for a few days last week. We did enjoy her visit and sat out on the porch every night and talked until well past midnight. I loved hearing the stories of my Grandparents and great aunts and uncles. Aunt Roxie is an accomplished pianist and gave a concert at our church, which we absolutely enjoyed! It was a fun few days!

Boat Ride

Saturday evening, a friend of ours from the community took us on a boat ride in his beautiful pontoon boat. It was a gorgeous evening and the breeze blowing while we were riding was heavenly. We so enjoyed this evening.

Our friend, John, let Sam drive for a while.

Lane's Peach Packing

Saturday, I took the kids and my Aunt Roxie, who was visiting from Kansas to Lane's Peach Packing plant. It was alot of fun and interesting to see how they pack all the peaches they grow there. But, I think Sam and Ben enjoyed the playground most of all!

Aunt Roxie and Sam watching the peaches being packed.

The place smelled so good, just like fresh peaches.
Ellie, flying in the wind!
Ben, just chillin!

This is the life!
